CHEAP VETERINARY CARE
Spanky's voice will show why cheap veterinary care is NOT the right choice. I picked my animals veterinarian because he could save me money...I wish now that I had known the outcome of this cheap care. While you look over my site please read all the correspondence on the tab above. All the letters are important and explain everything that you might question. I trusted this Brazoria County veterinarian with my pets life and he showed little concern and lied about many things. The vet board investigated my case for almost a year and an agreed order was signed by the veterinarian. In most of the letters I could not name the veterinarian, but now after the agreed order everything is public information. I can say and warn everyone NOW that Gary Brackeen with Anchor Road Vet Clinic admitted to self medicating and his negligence and malpractice cost me a beloved family member. After this process, I have found many people that have had the similar experiences with this man - I only wish that someone before me would have made a complaint. If your pet dies in the hands of a "bad vet" PLEASE report it.

Spanky's Story.....
Spanky was born in Halletsville, TX on March 6, 2003. My niece, Sarah, is the person that brought Spanky into my family. My husband, Benny was working out of State and I thought that he needed a companion. Sarah had mentioned that her "Big Mommy" had a liter of puppies and she chose us the perfect Chihuahua.. the runt of the liter. Benny was living in his travel trailer in Oklahoma and a Chihuahua would be perfect. We....Sarah, my daughter Missy, and I drove to Halletsville to pick Spanky up and the minute I saw him I fell in love. Spanky was perfect, so precious and just an angel. Needless to say, Spanky was not going anywhere, he was to be mine and would never go to Oklahoma, he would be here with me and our other two dogs, Bear and Darla.
January 20, 2011 Spanky died unexpectedly...he was scheduled for a simple surgery and died three days later. My family was devastated...it was purely neglect and I blame the Vet.
I will be telling my story....
February 2011, I filed a complaint with the Texas Board of Veterinarian Medical Examiners and in the end I will tell everyone the vet name, his office location and the detailed results of my complaint. I started by filing my complaint with the Texas Board of Veterinarian Medical Examiners and have received a response from Spankys' Veterinarian in which I was able to send a response back to the Board. Now the complaint will go before three Veterinarians on the Board and they will decide if the case will be pursued further due to the actions of Spankys'Veterinarian. If the Veterinarian Board agrees Spankys' Veterinarian was negligent I will be invited to Austin, Texas for an "informal conference". Keep your fingers crossed that I can get justice for Spanky....
